Todd Wolfe

Todd Wolfe was born on June 4, 1967 in Chicago, IL. He attended Arlington High School (Arlington Heights, IL) for three years and graduated from Prospect High School (Mt. Prospect, IL). He was honored as an all-state basketball player and graduated as the school’s all-time scoring leader. Academically, he was a member of the National Honor Society and accepted an athletic scholarship to play for Michigan State University after graduation in 1985.

At Michigan State, Wolfe’s teams won one Big Ten title, earned a number one seed in 1990, went to NCAA sweet sixteen twice, and once to the NIT Final. He was a team captain 1988-89 and was honored with the Spartan Sportsmanship Award three straight years. He is currently ranks in the top five three-point field goal percentage in MSU history. Academically, Todd graduated in 1990 with a business degree from MSU.

Upon graduating from college, Todd went to work in the business world for manufacturing companies in accounting management and in 1994 he founded Rising Stars Basketball to run basketball camps and train young basketball player based on his basketball experiences. In 2005, he opened his first “Player Development Center”, where young players could be trained year-round in the fundamentals of basketball.

Currently, Rising Stars Basketball boasts a coaching staff of over a dozen former college and professional players who share in Todd’s passion to teach players important life skills in conjunction with solid basketball fundamentals in the pursuit of excellence. Rising Stars works with many youth and charitable organizations in the western suburbs of Chicago with the belief that attitude and character can be taught to young people through basketball. Todd is a committed Christian and lives in Plainfield, IL with his wife Sherry their five children, daughters Cassie and Torie, and sons Wesley, Jake and William.
